10K distance is the distance for a road race to run 10 km. Since 1 mile is
1.6 km, 10K is a distance of approximately 6.2 miles. Converted to feet, 10K is a distance to run approximately 32,808 feet. Since "10K= 2 times 5K", a 10K is two times the distance of a 5K race.

10K is a short road race and ideal for beginners who have some running experience and/or who have run a 5K race before. If you have been running before and havent exercised in a while, a 5K is a good race to resume your running program.
For a beginner to start running, 10K training needs a commitment in time to finish the program successfully. If you have no prior running experience, start with 5K Training for a 5K race and then progress to 10K.
